It is a photograph of the Khyber Lodge at Peshwar taken in 1877. Lord Ossulston sadly died two years after the photo of cholera.

His death gave rise to the foundation of Mildmay Mission Hospital in London, where Princess Diana was famously photographed holding
hands with aids victims.
